Aziza Yasmine Nicholson, also known as Aziza Yasmine, is owner of A II Z Naturals Limited; a beauty clinic which specializes in holistic health and hair care for people of all ages and ethnicities. Her approach to holistic health is in her all natural and herbal infused line of Golden Shea products, through her continuous experiences as an educator, and the wealth of knowledge she has accumulated over the past 12 years of her professional career. Aziza’s aspiring ability to fashion diverse styles, techniques, creativity, generosity, enthusiasm and talent as a top stylist along with her desire to provide the community with invaluable insight into the world of Natural Hair care has earned her the title of ICON in the hair industry.
Aziza graduated from Miami University of Ohio with degrees in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, and Black World Studies. Although Aziza has had a love affair with the art of doing hair since she was a young girl, her path became certain after she went on a research trip to Ghana and studied at the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi. While there she designed a map to navigate through the market for tourists who wished to explore the Kumasi Central Marketplace, the second largest outdoor market in Africa. While deep in the urban landscape, she discovered an area where hundreds of women sat for hours creating intricate braids, styles, and twists. Watching and learning many of these techniques led Aziza to view the art form as a valuable asset to the African American community. “Braiding, Weaving, and Locking involve bonding of spirits, the exchange of knowledge which gives us the inspiration to be proud of who we are and what God gave us. Natural Hair care is truly the foundation of the Afro-centric holistic Hair story”
As an award winning stylist and platform artist, Aziza has proven to be a master of Afro-centric hair and design. Currently, Aziza serves as the National Coordinator for eNaturals.net a division of the eBraiding.net corporation. The longterm goal of the organization is to ensure proper licensure for all braiders and natural hair stylists practicing and operating natural hair care businesses in the US. Aziza firmly believes, “It is time we reclaim our Hairitage, we must unveil that which is unnatural and unhealthy and embrace the natural beauty within”.
